Objectifs

Exploration of the English language as a medium in art and design. Improvement of personal and artistic expression through the English language (speaking, discussing, reading, writing, making).

Contenu

Journey through the history of recipes (written or spoken instructions) in art, making, and cooking.  How have people used words, written and oral instructions, scripts, and prompts to express themselves, connect with others, share knowledge, question order, and make life anew - using the form of shared repetition. 

Working from scores: to engage in artistic work, to break out of habit, to transform reality and invent a language that is both graphic and literary.

Méthode

Discussion, interaction, creation of art and design projects, collaboration, reading, journaling, documenting (paper, video, audio, photo, words).

Savoir-faire

Spoken and written English with art and design knowledge from 1st year

Évaluation

Participation, completion of projects, speaking, writing, reflection. Progress in written and spoken English (no level required, only progress is assessed).
